Ken Silvia

 

Ken Silvia has been in law enforcement for over three decades serving in a variety of assignments from harassment to homicide. Ken completed a 20-year career in 2006 with the NYPD as a detective assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Since his time with the NYPD, Ken served in Afghanistan from 2008 – 2013 as the Senior Law Enforcement Advisor to three Commanding Generals; Gen. Petraeus, Gen. Allen, and Gen. Dunford.

 

After serving in Afghanistan Ken returned to the United States where he became an investigator with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office located in Phoenix. He is currently a Lieutenant overseeing a seasoned team of Detectives responsible for investigating Gang violence, Cold Case Homicides, Active Homicides, and Capital Litigation.

 

Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in Security Management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice -New York, and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. Ken is a Texas A&M Certified Instructor for Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events and travels throughout Arizona presenting to civic groups and business organizations about Active Shooter Awareness with an emphasis on how best to survive an active shooter incident.
