4. Old Business
A. Speeding is still major concern in SCW. Ongoing.
B. Vehicle parking too close to intersections. i.e. on Aleppo Dr. near Spanish Garden. McDOT engineers to investigate distances involved. Ongoing.
C. Increased accidents occurring at intersections with no traffic control, i.e. stop signs/traffic lights. “Ghost Cars” now working Dist. III, increased traffic enforcement. Ongoing.
D. Are plans/programs in place for emergencies/responses for excessive heat, strong winds, floods, power outages. Existing plans are being updated and revised now. Still several months away from implementation. Status?
E. Comprehensive Traffic Study on RH Johnson Blvd. McDOT working on compiling this study. Not feasible per McDOT. Close File
F. Maui Fire: What happened? Why? Communication Failures? First responder failures? (Remember Yarnell fire), Can it happen here? Different Circumstances & Geography, No. Close File

5. New Business
A. New Commander for Posses, Sheriff’s Posse and SCW Posse.
B. Red Light Runners.
C. El Mirage Road extension beyond I-303. Implications for SCW traffic issues.
D. Citizens requesting Left Turn Arrow off of Meeker Blvd. onto SB Camino Del Sol and at 138th Ave and RH Johnson at exit from Fry’s Foods.
E. New Left Turn Arrow off of SB RH Johnson onto 128th is either “Left Turn on Green Only” for short time or red for rest of traffic signal cycle. People want Left Turn Arrow to flash yellow after certain time after initial green arrow.
